Year 3 Hedgehogs Class 2023

Hello everyone, as some of you already know, my name is Mr Martin. If you were in Miss Key's class last year you’ll definitely be joining me in the Year 3 Hedgehogs Class in September! I’m so excited to be spending a whole year with you and getting to learn even more about you – here are some fun facts about me:

As we discussed on our transfer morning, I like riding my bike, surfing and building things. I think that LEGO is the best! Sometimes my home feels like Legoland! Hopefully we will get a chance to build together. 

I also love reading all kinds of books and would really like to share my favourites with you! Because I read so much, I really enjoy using my imagination to write my own stories. 

I have two children of my own who were in year 3 once upon a time, now my son will be starting year 6 and my daughter is in secondary school, but they are still my little babies! 

I love all of the seasons, especially autumn when the leaves on the trees change colour and then fall to the floor ready to be crunched underfoot. I also get extremely excited about snow! Even writing the word makes me smile! 

I already know from Miss Key how much you love to learn and I can’t wait to see how much more we can discover together!

As you know, our class mascot is the Hedgehog – here are some things that Hedgehogs do that we can be great at too:

• They are curious about the world around them.
• They are calm and resilient. 
• They are kind and caring.
