Holi Celebrations

On Wednesday we joined in with celebrations for the festival Holi with a whole school 'Colour Day'. Children and staff across school chose to wear their most bright and vibrant colours in a joint celebration of friendship, joy and the start of spring. In assembly Trisha (Year 6) helped Mrs Shama and Mrs Dhaliwal explain some Holi traditions within the Hindu faith, including painting faces and clothes with bright colours. Then everyone had a fun day with some special craft and art activities  - before we all took home a spring flower for friends and family at home.
