Christmas at Wood Farm 2025
What an incredible festive season we’ve had at Wood Farm! December was packed with joy, creativity, and community spirit as everyone came together to celebrate the festive season in style.
The celebrations began early in December with the delivery of fifteen real Christmas trees! A rather familiar-looking reindeer, accompanied by a team of cheerful elves, danced into each classroom to deliver a tree for every class. The children were then set a creative challenge: to design and craft beautiful decorations for their tree, ready to showcase at our much-loved Wood Farm Christmas Festival.
The festival was a true highlight of the term. The school was transformed into a
winter wonderland of stalls, crafts, face painting, and festive activities for families to enjoy. Father Christmas paid us a visit, along with the dancing reindeer, a curious snowman, and an extremely smiley elf! Families wandered through our stunning Christmas Tree Festival, admiring the incredible decorations made by every child in the school.
But the festive fun didn’t stop there! Amidst a busy few weeks of learning, we enjoyed:
- Class assemblies by Year 5 and Year 4, sharing their fantastic history learning from the term with parents and peers.
- An unforgettable Year 2 Nativity performance of ‘A Miracle in Time’
- Reception’s Christmas singing celebration.
- A very special moment when Year 4 performed at Oxford University’s New College, filling the venue with beautiful Christmas music - see here for the news story for this event.

Christmas Jumper day came round on 17th December, and we had a delicious Christmas dinner, cooked by our brilliant school kitchen team. Everyone was dressed in festive clothes, hats or decorations - adults and children alike - and the hall was transformed with lights, decorations and some Christmas tunes!
To top it all off, the term ended with a magical surprise: Father Christmas returned to deliver a book to every child in the school! On the very last day, he even appeared on the roof of the school, bringing with him a sprinkling of snow, festive tunes, and those dancing elves to see the term out in true Wood Farm style.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this Christmas so special. We can’t wait to see what the new year brings!
